I am just 6 months away from the loss of my beloved husband. This book is a lifeline for me and has become an essential daily reading. It has led me to investigate other authors, and I also bought another book by Dr. Wolfelt entitled "When Your Soulmate Dies." One thing is clear to me and which the book also tells us, is that love doesn't die. And for me, the pain is well worth the 34 years I had with this amazing man.
A friend recommended this when her mom passed away recently. I ordered one for myself and another for a good friend whose mother and daughter died a few months apart. She and I read the daily meditation together over the phone sharing our insights and then praying together.
Very nice book with short, less than 5 minute, daily mediations for anyone who is suffering the loss of a loved one. Highly recommend!
I just lost my son and this has really helped me get out of bed and face the day. I recommend keeping by your bedside and read the days message when you wake up.
I facilitate a grief group that has recently grown larger than the recommended size. Wolfelt's daily read is perfect to stimulate discussion. I read several (3-5 days) ahead of time before the group arrives. Then depending on several factors we will utilize at least one of these to begin our discussion.
This is a fabulous little meditation for those who are grieving. Our bereavement teams at Sangre de Cristo Hospice and Palliative Care utilize this in our bereavement groups. Great book to add to my library!
Excellent book for those who are grieving. My sister just lost her husband and I am reading it too so we can exchange thoughts together. I like the idea of having one meditation each day to think about. I think it's very helpful.
