These are so fun! From a kid at heart who grew up in the 80's and 90's reading comics, this is just awesome. I have three kids ages six, four and two and they are pumped. For the first time, the six-year-old is realizing that the things he has been hearing during Family Night and Church are real, that they really happened. Sure, some of the drawings and dialogue you take with a grain of salt, but this product wasn't ever intended to be perfectly accurate and to replace scripture study, it only enhances it and the artist's renditions of some of the stories are fantastic and worth the price alone just to see them. 5 stars, I would love to see these guys pump out some Bible Comics and Doctrine and Covenants comics. Very cool. Thank you, A+.
For graphic readers this was a great telling of the Book of Mormon stories. Loved the graphics.
Fun for kids of all ages
This was a gift for my daughter. She really liked it.
I received a copy of the first book in the series Escape from Jerusalem. I am impressed! I wish I would have had this when my kids were younger. It would have been perfect to take to church and have them look at this to keep them quiet! 😉The books are made up like a comic book describing events from The Book of Mormon. The script is simplified making the story easier for children to understand. I could even see myself using this along with family scripture study. As you read from the scriptures, it would be easy to have this and point out to small children the pictures. Visualization is always a great teacher.Yes, I love this concept and the way these books are presented.
This is a fantastic presentation of the story line from the first third of the Book of Mormon. The illustrations are vibrant and imaginative, and really show the depth and scope of some of the dramatic events in visions, battles, etc. For any wondering, this Premium Edition not only combines the previous individual comics, but has a welcome reworking of the text to make it more accessible to a wide audience and to fix better with the flow of a graphic novel format. I really hope Michael D. Allred is able to continue the series and complete the entire Book of Mormon.A great compliment for this is the Action Bible (not by the same author).
My daughter (10 years old) went through all of these if a few days and couldn't put them down. The graphics keep your attention while the narration and dialogue explains enough to tell the story and doctrine with little dilution and a much needed updated version from the 1970's LDS comics of the past.
I don't generally read graphic novels, but I REALLY liked this adaptation of The Book of Mormon. The illustrations make the book engaging on a whole new level; it adds a new layer of insight to the priceless scriptural accounts of Nephi and other Book of Mormon heroes. I wholeheartedly endorse this work and commend those who put it together! Well done!
